Post our house boat experience, we took the long winding roads to my friends resort Amaana Plantation Resort, Thekkady where we planned to spend a couple of days and rest. Unfortunately the signs that it was not going to be too restful was apparent when we both threw up during the stomach churning ride up the mountains. When we reached the resort, we were greeted warmly and everything seemed fine and the resort folks even arranged a very nice candlelight dinner for us.
Unfortunately that day Elizabeth fell ill with norovirus and since its very contagious , we both fell ill. Thankfully the people in the resort took excellent care of us and when it was time to leave, they even arranged a good taxi for us to catch the flight back from Kochi to Bangalore since the original taxi driver was was being a pain in the neck.
Since we were feeling much better we also took the time to stop at a spice garden and take a quick impromptu tour
